More than one million refugees and migrants from Syria and other countries entered Europe in 2015 hoping to rebuild their lives. Known as the ‘refugee crisis’, the influx of arrivals to Europe has resulted in controversy across the world.

But what if the tables were turned and Europeans had to seek refuge in Africa and the Middle East?

Tunisia 2045 is a short-film by Ted Hardy-Carnac that explores what would happen if the refugee crises was reversed. The short film is a contender in the sixth edition of the Nikon Film Festival, which covers short films of up to 140 seconds filmed in HD on any device.

The film by Ted Hardy-Carnac, which is exactly 140 seconds long, explores a hypothetical situation where a French man and his daughter are seeking refuge in Tunisia. The film takes place in a Tunisian immigration office and depicts the struggles refugees go through when applying for refuge.
